If you want to shut down this application, you’ll tap home button twice and hold this application icon, and tap “x” button.

iPad is unable to connect with Mac via network
If your iPad is unable to connect with Mac, and unable to communicate with Mac,
I recommend to use “Internet sharing” feature on Mac.
If you want to use “Internet sharing” feature, please open this:

Setting “Internet sharing”

  1. Open “System Preferences” on Mac.
  2. Click “Sharing” icon and open Sharing dialog.

  3. Click “Internet Sharing” to check it.

  4. Set “Share your connection from:” to exclude AirPort.
  5. Check “AirPort” in “To computers using:”
  6. Check the “Internet Sharing” checkbox, and click start button in confirmation dialog, then start internet sharing.
    AirMac icon will change like this if your Mac has started sharing.
